The last day of the week is something special in our development department. "Creative Fridays" is one day each week set aside for the developers to be doing things with greater freedom than is possible when other parts of the organization need to rely on your work.
Creative Fridays are a privilege earned by contributing to Nokias drive for innovation.
Projects must be approved by your manager. The approval will be very accepting. Basically, anything that:
- Could conceivably end up on trolltech.com as a freebie download
- Could conceivably be shipped to a customer, e.g. as part of Qt or as Qt Solution component.
- Could lead to a project that would be accepted as a Creative Fridays project (i.e. research)
- Involves preparing your Creative Fridays project proposal!
