Trolltech Releases Qt 4.4 Beta

Desktop and Embedded Packages Available Now for Testing and Feedback

Oslo, 26 February - 2008 - Trolltech today released a beta of Qt 4.4 to its commercial customers and open source users for testing and feedback. Qt 4.4 is the upcoming release of Trolltech's leading cross-platform software development framework. The beta will be followed by a release candidate, with a final release currently scheduled for mid Q2 2008.

 

The beta presents a range of new features for testing and feedback.  Preview packages are now available for Windows®, Mac®, and Linux® desktop operating systems, as well as for our embedded platforms: Embedded Linux and Windows CE.

The Qt 4.4 beta is available under a special pre-release evaluation license.  Binary installer packages are available for Windows and Mac. How to Submit Feedback

Trolltech values all feedback from its commercial and open source community, and encourages extensive testing of the new technologies included in Qt 4.4.  To collect this feedback, a special mailing list has been set up: qt4-preview-feedback@trolltech.com.
