Trolltech Hires Daniel Kihlberg Pallejà to Serve as Vice President Worldwide Marketing

Will Oversee Global Expansion of Qt and Qtopia

Oslo, 10 March - 2008 - Trolltech® announced that it has appointed Daniel Kihlberg Pallejà as Vice President Worldwide Marketing. Daniel has spent most of his career providing executive leadership to teams bringing innovative consumer electronics and communications products to the global marketplace.

Kihlberg Pallejà will lead the marketing teams in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific regions to accelerate the growth of Trolltech’s embedded application platform Qtopia®. Qtopia has enabled a new generation of exciting consumer devices such as mobile handsets, video-phones, set-top boxes and media players to deliver unique user experiences. Daniel will also work to expand the market presence of Qt, the popular cross-platform development framework that enables companies to build software applications that run across multiple desktop operating systems and devices without rewriting the source code.

Kihlberg Pallejà assumes ownership of Trolltech marketing operations, product marketing, marketing strategy, branding and communications. Before Trolltech, he was Senior Director Global Marketing Communications for the brands Jabra® and GN Netcom®: provider of the world’s number one wireless handsets. At Siemens® Communications Devices, Daniel initially headed up product marketing for the world’s first smart phone with an MP3 player and later as Vice President Global Marketing Communications he led activities that established Siemens as a leading mobile phone brand. Before that, at Ericsson® Mobile Communications Kihlberg Pallejà had P/L responsibility for two-way pagers as well as smart phone and Bluetooth device initiatives. Daniel has also managed the marketing of various types of household devices, leading the marketing operations and sales training for products marketed under the brands Electrolux®, AEG® and Lux®.
