NOTE: SUBMISSIONS NOW CLOSED

Trolltech is proud to sponsor the Qtopia Greenphone™ Innovation Grant Program.  The intent of the program is to put Trolltech’s Greenphone, a Linux mobile development device open for unlimited software innovation, into the hands of top developers and have cutting edge, best of breed applications delivered.

Greenphone makes Linux-based applications easier to build and faster to bring to market. This powerful GSM/GPRS device provides the perfect platform for creation, testing and demonstration of new mobile technology services. Be part of this exciting new world that is experiencing the difference Trolltech makes by putting open tools and devices into the hands of developers – be a Qtopia Greenphone™ Innovation Grant Program participant.

To participate in the Innovation Grant Program simply submit your entry form that includes a description of the application you intend to develop. Created applications will be promoted on Trolltech’s website.

If your application is selected to be part of the Innovation Grant Program, you will be contacted and Trolltech will provide – free of charge, a Qtopia Greenphone™ with a SDK Community or SDK Light software license (dependent on whether you plan to develop an open source or commercial application).  The Greenphone is for you to use in your development efforts and to keep as a “thank you” from Trolltech for you participation in the program.

Applications review will begin on or about July 3, 2007.   Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Functionality
  • Practical Uses
  • Originality

Go the the Grant Program Entry Form.

Read the Qtopia Greenphone Grant Guidelines. You will be asked to confirm that you accept the Guidelines during completion of your entry form.
