Volker Hilsheimer

Volker Hilsheimer

Head of Support

Volker Hilsheimer has been working with Qt for over a decade, and in the last 8 years, at Trolltech. He was the first engineer to really enjoy working on Windows, and has been involved in the development of Windows-specific functionality like Windows XP support and ActiveQt, as well as Qt Solutions projects. Today he is the head of support in the Qt Software unit of Nokia. When not working, Volker enjoys mixing things in a pot or cocktail shaker to see if something edible or drinkable comes out of it.

Henrik Hartz

Henrik Hartz

Product Specialist

Henrik is a Product Specialist with Qt Software's Product Management. He has previously worked as a support engineer and holds a MSc in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Henrik enjoys movies and computer games in his spare time, and compensates for his geekiness with snowboarding, mountain-biking and other outdoor pursuits.

Trenton Schulz

Trenton Schulz

Senior Software Engineer

In a daring 2001 escape, Trenton Schulz left Minnesota and joined Trolltech. He's been involved in Qt Extended, tablet support, styles, internal tools, and the Mac OS X port. He just got his M.Sc. at the University of Oslo. When not working on Cocoa, he enjoys drawing, playing games, and hacking his robot dog.

Thiago Macieira

Thiago José Macieira

Senior Software Engineer 

Thiago joined Trolltech in 2006 and has been living in Oslo most of the time since then. He has a double degree in Engineering and an MBA, and when he's not busy as the Release Manager for Qt, he works on all that you can't see (networking and I/O, IPC/D-Bus, tool classes, Qt kernel). He also loves dance and techno music and will not let a Starcraft game challenge go unanswered.

Software Engineer

Thomas Strehl is a Senior Software Engineer located in Berlin, Germany. He spends most of his time working on various Qt tools, especially on Qt Assistant and the help module. In his spare time, he enjoys going running and cycling.

Bjørn Erik Nilsen

Bjørn Erik Nilsen

Software Engineer

Bjørn Erik is a Software Engineer working for Qt Software in Oslo, Norway. He is the architect behind Alien Widgets and spends most of his time on Qt's widget rendering model. When not modeling for a "Qt Developer Days 2008" banner, he enjoys crashing his RC helicopter every second week.

Thierry Bastian

Thierry Bastian

Software Engineer

Thierry is a software engineer who joined Trolltech in 2006. He comes from France where he graduated in Computer Science from Nancy Engineering School ESIAL. Prior to joining Qt Software he spent 4 years working as a software engineer leading Qt-based projects. Now he spends most of his time working on multimedia, animations and other widgets-related tasks. When he’s not at work, he enjoys watching movies or hiking in the wild Norway with friends.

Frans Englich

Software Engineer

Coming from an open source background, Frans Englich joined Trolltech in 2006. He is a software engineer developing and maintaining the expanding XML side of Qt. He also tries to lend a hand on W3C's XQuery testing task force. Apart from fiddling with his camera once in a while, he can tell where to find what he claims to be the best bakery in Oslo.

Eike Ziller

Software Engineer

Eike Ziller graduated in Mathematics in 2004, and joined the Berlin office in September 2006. He works on the different Qt Tools, mostly on Mac and Linux. He loves learning conceptually different programming languages and throwing people around - at least on an Aikido mat.

Ariya Hidayat

Ariya Hidayat

Software Engineer

Ariya is a Qt developer in Qt Software's Oslo Office. He has been using Qt for 7 years and joined the company earlier this year. He is very passionate about open source software and contributes a lot to KDE. Ariya holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Paderborn, Germany. When not in front of the computer, he is usually in the kitchen trying to polish his amateur cooking skills.

Olivier Goffart

Olivier Goffart

Software Engineer

Olivier Goffart is an active KDE contributor. He holds a Master of Sciences in Computer Engineering from the University of Liège. He exchanged the chocolates of Belgium for working in Oslo in the widget team, maintaining Qt's widget style sheet features. For the past year he has also been working on improving Qt's performance, as well as its look and feel. He likes to go skiing on the Norwegian snow.

 Jürgen Bocklage-Ryannel

Jürgen Bocklage-Ryannel

Training Manager

Jürgen joined Trolltech in 2006. He studied at FH-Osnabrueck and EVTEK/Helsinki. Directly after his studies he joined DIGIA to build Software for the first S60 Phone. Coming from DIGIA and Siemens/BenQ Mobile Jürgen has a long background in the Mobile Phone Industry. He likes C++, Java, Python and riding his BMW R1200GS through the Alps. He is interested in the relations of things and likes to share his views. Currently Jürgen is Training Manager for the Qt related trainings worldwide.

Software Engineer

Thomas Hartmann is a software engineer who joined the new Berlin Office in 2006. He graduated in the beautiful city of Aachen and holds a Computer Science degree from RWTH Aachen. He is working on the Windows CE port of Qt.

Anders Bakken

Anders Bakken

Sales Engineer

Anders has worked with Qt for 7 years. He's been in tech support and sales engineering and has worked in Norway and California. Currently doing the latter in both cases. He wrote Q.*SpinBox and QDateTimeEdit for Qt 4 and likes Embedded Linux work these days. He also thinks "someone" should write a Qt/Curses port. Outside of work he enjoys playing basketball and softball, cooking and comparing the weather in Oslo and Menlo Park.

Till Adam and Mirko Boehm

Senior Engineers, KDAB

As senior engineers at KDAB, Till Adam and Mirko Boehm spend their working days in the trenches of Qt. They've helped make Qt projects a success at start-up and fortune 500 companies across the globe, taught all aspects of Qt to people with a wide range of backgrounds and architected and implemented solutions in many different problem domains using Qt. They are both long-term contributers to Free Software, in particularly KDE. Both live with their families in Berlin, Germany.
Chris Gaal

Chris Gaal

Software Development Consultant, ICS

Chris is a software development consultant for Integrated Computer Solutions (ICS), a Qt partner. He specializes in the Qt C++ application development framework and has developed content and served as lead instructor for Qt-sponsored Qt training courses. He received a MSc in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2004 and is currently living in Washington, D.C., where he spends his spare time biking, movie watching, and learning Portuguese.

Martin Scherbaum

Director Professional Services, basysKom GmbH

Martin Scherbaum is managing the professional services team delivering services for Qt software development and atomized quality assurance. Martin has over 12 years of experience in developing and managing Linux systems. His background includes extensive management positions at SuSE and Linotype playing a key role in designing technical solutions, building up customer support and internal IT as well as introducing ISO certified processes. He has a Master of Arts (Computer Linguistics) from the University of Erlangen/Nuremberg.
