Announcing Qt Embedded for Windows CE and Embedded Linux
Trolltech launches Windows CE version of Qt for mobile phones, internet tablets, and industrial embedded devices
Trolltech enables customers to create applications that support both Windows CE and embedded Linux devices from one code base
Nürnberg, Germany, 26 February - 2008 - Trolltech’s Qt® cross-platform development framework is adding support for Microsoft®’s Windows® CE operating system. This means that applications developed using Qt on Windows, MacOS X®, and Linux® desktop and embedded platforms can now be easily deployed to a range of mobile devices running on the Windows CE and Windows Mobile operating systems.

The Qt cross-platform application framework now also supports Windows CE and Windows Mobile extending the cross-platform vision of "Qt Everywhere" to even more embedded devices. Now, applications developed with Qt can be easily deployed to Windows CE and embedded Linux devices, as well as to the Windows, Mac OS X and Linux/Unix desktop operating systems.
Qt developers targeting Windows and Linux embedded platforms can expect the same benefits that desktop developers have realized for over 14 years, including:

Qt for Windows CE and Qt for Embedded Linux will be released with Qt 4.4 in May. Until then, you can try out the preview functionality in the Qt release snapshots, and the latest Qt 4.4 beta release.
